SOBIRA is a platform that helps people find others for shared activities. In plain words: what you can do, what you are responsible for, what the platform is responsible for, and what is prohibited.
1. General provisions
SOBIRA is a digital platform that helps users find people for shared activities, create plans, invite participants, communicate and use related service features.
By using SOBIRA you use the platform under these terms.
SOBIRA itself is not the organizer of a user event unless a specific event is explicitly marked as organized by SOBIRA. The organizer of a user plan and its participants arrange the event between themselves.
2. Age
For the current version of SOBIRA, an independent account may be used only from the age of 18.
During registration the user confirms: “I am at least 18 years old.”
3. Account
The user must:
- provide accurate basic information;
- not impersonate another person or organization;
- not transfer the account to third parties;
- keep access secure;
- promptly report account compromise.
Phone, email or social login are used for identification and access in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
4. Profile
Only data intended by SOBIRA functionality for the public profile may be shown publicly: name or display name, avatar, description, language, rating, reviews, status, posts, created plans and other explicitly public information.
Phone, email and service data must not automatically become public.
5. Creating a plan
The organizer is responsible for the accuracy of the plan information:
- title;
- description;
- date and time;
- meeting point;
- activity location;
- price;
- maximum and minimum number of participants;
- participant requirements;
- required equipment;
- difficulty level;
- restrictions;
- material risks.
Hidden mandatory paid conditions are prohibited. If a plan is marked as free, the organizer must not demand, after joining, a mandatory payment that was not clearly stated in advance.
Permitted voluntary expenses of participants may be described separately if they are known in advance.
6. Joining a plan
By joining a plan, the user confirms that they:
- read the description;
- understand the date, place and conditions;
- meet the explicitly stated requirements;
- agree not to mislead the organizer about their participation;
- understand the possible risks of the activity.
The organizer may accept or reject applications according to the service functionality, but must not use discrimination prohibited by law.
7. Cancelling participation
Before the deadline set by the organizer or the system, the user may withdraw according to the event interface.
After the deadline, self-cancellation may be limited, especially for paid events.
Specific cancellation and refund rules must be shown to the user before they confirm participation. SOBIRA does not promise guaranteed compensation while payment infrastructure is not in place.
8. Paid events
Pay on site. If “Pay on site” is selected, SOBIRA does not take money within that operation. Settlements happen directly between the organizer and the participant.
Payment via SOBIRA. The payment feature via SOBIRA is under development and applies only after it is actually launched.
Once payment via SOBIRA is launched, before paying the user must see: the price, the service commission, hold conditions, the deadline, cancellation rules, settlement rules, refund, dispute, payout conditions for the organizer, and information about the payment provider.
The internal SOBIRA Balance is not a bank account, deposit, e-wallet, escrow or bank guarantee unless it legally is one. Payment operations must be performed through the appropriate payment partner.
9. The organizer is not necessarily a participant
The organizer may organize an event and take part in it, or organize an event and not take part.
This is reflected in the number of places and the financial logic of the plan.
10. Verified accounts
SOBIRA may assign verifiable statuses, including: Guide, Venue, Trainer, Organization and others.
A verification mark means only the result of the SOBIRA verification procedure. It must not be interpreted as a guarantee of safety, professional level, license, event quality or absence of risk, unless the specific verification confirms that.
11. User content
The user keeps the rights to their own content.
The user grants SOBIRA the necessary non-exclusive right to technically store, display, format, scale images and distribute content within platform functions — only to the extent necessary for the relevant function.
The user must not upload content for which they do not have the necessary rights.
12. Moderation
For a violation of the law, these terms or the Community Rules, SOBIRA may hide content, limit its distribution, remove posts and plans, limit account functions, temporarily or permanently block an account.
Where possible, SOBIRA states the reason. A decision can be appealed via /support.
13. Reports
The user may report a plan, a user, a post, a comment, a message, a review or another supported object.
All reports go to the existing support system and admin panel.
14. Reviews
A review is allowed only when a confirmed connection through an event exists between the users according to SOBIRA business logic.
Prohibited: fake reviews, reviews from multiple accounts, rating blackmail, buying reviews, and threats to leave a negative review.
15. Maps and geolocation
SOBIRA may use external map providers, including Google Maps and 2GIS.
Using maps may technically transmit to the provider the IP address, device parameters and location data, if the user granted access.
SOBIRA obtains the precise device location only after user permission.
16. Service availability
SOBIRA does not promise 100% uptime. Technical works, updates, temporary outages and unavailability of third-party services are allowed.
17. Limitation of liability
SOBIRA provides a technology platform and cannot guarantee the behavior of another user or the absence of risks at an offline event.
No provision of these terms excludes SOBIRA liability where it cannot be excluded by law.
18. Changes to the rules
Every version of the documents stores a date and a version number.
Material changes require user notification and re-acceptance.
19. Applicable law
For the current launch, the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan applies.
